Sami Varasteh
Director
Having moved to Australia as an Iranian refugee in 2004, Sami successfully completed his secondary and tertiary educations in Australia. From day one, he took great pride in his career, seeing it as an opportunity to give back to the Australian community that had supported him for many years. Sami is an excellent communicator, and leader, harnessing an effective team dynamic in all his projects. For Sami, this industry is not only about seeing physical progress but it’s about meeting the construction needs of communities.

Nonetheless, actions speak louder than words, and he has shown this by dedicating his time outside of work to live by these values. In his spare time, Sami volunteers by mentoring other migrant engineers in the construction industry. He endeavours to provide them with opportunities that he wished had been available to him when he first moved to Australia. He strives to incorporate inclusivity and diversity in this newly established company. In his own words his focus is on, “staff wellbeing, company diversity, and making sure life isn’t all about work”.

Declan Breslin
Director
Following in his father’s footsteps, Declan got into engineering after seeing his dad work on major construction projects in the Middle East. Declan is passionate about building effective teams, which are built on the strong foundations of comradery. For Declan, starting Greville is an opportunity to create these effective teams.
Rather than complaining about the traditional shortcomings of the trade, he has chosen to take an active role as a leader, instigating change. Declan provides the team with a range of experience; gained from working on major projects throughout Australia and the UK. He believes that a close-knit, and integrated team culture must be at the core of the company's values, allowing Greville to exceed client expectations.
In his spare time, Declan loves to explore the outdoors. When he’s not at the office, he is probably cycling, playing golf, or swimming in the bay.
